“I was referred to Cycleworks by a friend when I was looking to get my 1981 Honda back on the road after sitting in my basement for 20 years. Steve (the owner) went through the bike and did a complete mechanical restoration and the bike came out running like new. Since then, he has worked on 3 of my other motorcycles and kept them in top running condition. Don't expect to drop your bike off today and pick it up tomorrow, but some things are worth waiting for.”

“About 15 years ago I was first guided to Steve/CT Cycle works by another rider whom I did not know but spoke very highly of Steve . I've been thankful ever since . I had just bought a Honda Super Blackbird and had Steve go through the bike before I bought it . He said it was well cared for and in great shape and he was absolutely correct. I still have that Blackbird and it still runs like new, in part thanks to Steve . He has done work for me several times over the years even helped me over the phone . I've known some excellent bike mechanics growing up in Daytona Beach and riding motorcycles my whole life . Steve is top notch, bar none . Wouldn't take my bike to anyone else .”

“Steve is one of the best motorcycle mechanics I've ever met. He is meticulous and explains things very well on what he did and what should be done in the future. If own a motorcycle you have to bring your motorcycle here. Be patient. This is not fast food mechanics. Give him time to work on your bike because he's working on a lot of bikes by himself most of the time. I can assure you that it will be worth the wait”

Connecticut Cycleworks is Steve. He runs the shop himself, and he has for well over a decade. No service writers, no hand-offs to a junior tech. The person who picks up the phone is the person turning the wrenches.
Riders bring him everything from 1980s Hondas pulled out of a basement after twenty years to modern sportbikes that need to run like the day they left the showroom. He goes through a bike the right way — explains what he did and what should come next — and he keeps the bikes he looks after in top running condition for years.
He is honest about the wait. He works through a queue one bike at a time, and the riders who keep coming back will tell you the same thing: some things are worth waiting for.

One trade, done well: motorcycle repair. No upsells, no invented problems. If it is not his kind of work, he will say so and point you to someone who does it.
He does not work on Harleys — and he will tell you that on the phone, then take the time to recommend who does.
Bikes that sat for years, brought back to life. Steve goes through the whole machine and puts it back on the road running like new.
The unglamorous work that keeps a bike on the road for decades. Fluids, valves, carbs, chain — done right, on schedule.
Thinking about a used bike? Steve will go through it before you buy and tell you straight what shape it is in.
Running rough, won't start, or just not right. Methodical diagnosis, honest about what needs fixing and what can wait.

Straightforward and unhurried. Here is how working with the shop actually goes.
Bring the bike to Washington Ave or call ahead. Tell Steve what it is doing — or not doing. He will listen and take a look.
One bike at a time, in the order it came in. He diagnoses, does the work, and explains what he found and what to watch next.
Not always fast. Always correct. Riders come back for years because the work holds up — that is the whole point of the wait.
The fastest way to get on the schedule is a phone call. Steve answers when he can, and he works through bikes one at a time.
